Should we be worried when Google reaches to grab Microsoft's lunch?

This fascinating CNET analysis picks up where my previous post about Drive left off …  By holding millions of user documents and retaining the rights to analyze their contents, Google adds more kindling to its ad serving bonfire. Google somehow feels its monetary imperative to perfect targeting is a mission from God that we should all embrace, and our most personal data is the least that we can contribute to the effort. While Microsoft merely wants us to use their apps and servers, Google sees these as means to a much larger end.
